Melbourne Chilli Festival

On Saturday, June 4, some of Melbourne’s hottest food trucks will gather to raise funds for the Prahran Mission by staging a big Chilli Festival in a vacant parking lot next door to brunch hot spot, Hobba in Malvern.

Participating in the festival will be Dos Diablos, Billy Van Creamy, Little Mushroom Co, Soul Kitchen Pizza and Hobba, with all outlets offering exclusive chilli specials, together with their regular menus.

The highlight is a chilli eating competition and participants are asked to sign a waiver (whew!)

Entry fees for the competition go to Prahran Mission.

If you're wondering what to eat at the festival, why not try chilli ice cream, tempting tacos, mushroom burgers, wood-fired pizza and gourmet souvlakis?

Non- chilli, vegatarian, vegan and gluten-free options are available.

Head to the carpark next to Hobba at 424 Malvern Rd, Prahran, from 6 to 10pm and help a good cause.

KIGA at Kirra Galleries

In conjunction with the Light in Winter festival, Kirra Galleries at Federation Square is featuring glass sculptures from its 2016 Kirra Illuminating Glass Award (KIGA).

Drop in at Fed Square and view these exquisite pieces.
