Celebrate Buddha's birthday at Dandelion Restaurant

Buddha's birthday at Dandelion Restaurant

In celebration of the birthday of Buddha, Dandelion in Elwood presents an inspiring menu for the mind, body and spirit.

The vegan menu for the birthday celebrations reflects the Buddhist cuisine of Hue, in keeping with the general Buddhist precept of ahimsa, or non-violence.

The evening will include a water blessing by the monks from Wat Dhammarangsee, Melbourne’s oldest Buddhist Temple.
The menu will feature Dandelion's interpretation on dishes traditionally prepared for Buddha Day celebrations and will include:

Roast sweet potato, carrot and coconut soup with crispy taro, yam and purple basil.

Pandan pancake with pine mushroom, enoki and crispy betel leaves and peanut satay sauce.

Baby mustard green and swiss chard.
Pomegranate and pink quinoa, Vietnamese barley salad with mulberry vinegar dressing and avocado mousse and crispy chili.
Green chili autumn vegetable curry choko, kohlrabi, goji berries with brown rice.
Stir fry tofu with wing bean, yellow bean sauce.
Vietnamese Marou chocolate, avocado brulee with pomegranate tuile and mangosteen sorbet.
Coconut and cashew butter, crispy cumquat squares.
