Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show 2023
Blooming lovely!
Melbourne will bloom again as Australia’s premier flower and horticulture festival returns in 2023.
The famous Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show, presented by Scotts Osmocote, is on again at the world heritage-listed Carlton Gardens and Royal Exhibition Building.
The gardens will be bursting with colour and beauty from Wednesday, March 29 to Sunday, April 2.
There's plenty to interest everyone, whether you're an experienced green thumb or a novice gardener.
Landscape garden designers will offer advice on how to plan your garden, floral displays will take your breath away and family-friendly workshops will attract plant lovers of all ages.
“The show has been a Melbourne staple event for three decades,” event director Marcus Gale said.
Research has shown that 50 per cent of Aussies name their plants and one in three said they would save a plant in a fire! That's how well-loved our plants are.
The outdoor program has more than 40 enchanting garden displays while inside the heritage building, a kaleidoscope of colours and fragrances await.
Guests can create their own floral artwork while sipping bubbly in the Brush and Bubbles classes, and other highlights include tablescapes in the Wedding Showcase, High Tea and floral fashions by RMIT students.
Children will be entertained by an immersive pollinator garden and families can discover the joys of homegrown food in the summer vegie patch.
Why not participate in the Sustainable Scarecrow competition, using pre-used garden materials?
The show is open from 9am to 5pm daily and until 9pm on Friday, March 31 when you can enjoy Gardens by Twilight.
